Band recording

Keep the energy of playing together while capturing separated tracks. Lefsenlayerco in Nakameguro offers engineer-led sessions for bands that want a live feel without giving up edit flexibility.

Band plays in live room with drummer recorded behind glass partition.

Band sessions balance ensemble glue and isolated tracks. In the 38 m² live room we place the kit behind glass while guitars and bass play in the room at workable spacing. Two iso booths handle vocals and extra passes as you move across our 3 rooms in one day.

We host indie rock, metal, jazz, funk and pop groups from Tokyo and beyond. Rates are ¥17,600 per hour with engineer (10% VAT included) or a ¥88,000 ten-hour block; quotes return within 2 business days. Mixing and Mastering are booked separately when you are ready.

Using the live room

The live room is about 38 m² with a practical cap of 7 people at once. Drums sit behind acoustic glass so the band can see each other; bass is captured DI plus amp when useful; guitar cabs move off walls to control bleed and can shift into iso booths for tighter isolation.

Choose full-band passes for demo energy or kick-and-bass first for tighter foundation—it depends on song readiness and clock. Tell us reference live recordings when you contact us so we mirror the vibe you want.

Engineer and gear

A recording engineer stays on the session for mic placement, gain staging and headphone mixes. The desk offers 24 inputs; the control room uses 2 nearfield pairs. Standard mics, DIs, cables and headphone amps are included.

Special snares, vintage mics or large cabs usually come from you. Power strips are available—flag heavy draw amps ahead of time. Send a rough stage plot and gear list at least 5 days before session so load-in stays calm.
